MRKIT has various statutory and non-statutory committees that ensure the smooth functioning of the institution. These include the Anti-Ragging Committee, Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Grievance Redressal Committee, Women Empowerment Cell, SC/ST Committee, and Cultural Committee. Each committee works diligently to maintain discipline, address student concerns, and promote a healthy campus environment conducive to learning and personal growth.

The Training and Placement Cell at MRKIT is dedicated to preparing students for successful careers. The cell organizes regular training sessions in aptitude, technical skills, and soft skills. Leading companies from various sectors visit the campus for recruitment drives. Recent recruiters include 8Queens Software Technologies, Infosys, Wipro, TCS, and many more. The placement cell also provides internship opportunities and industry exposure to students.

MRKIT actively engages in extension activities through NSS, NCC, YRC, and RRC units. Students participate in various social initiatives including blood donation camps, tree plantation drives, awareness rallies, and village adoption programs. These activities instill social responsibility and leadership qualities in students. The recent "Drug Free Tamilnadu" cycle rally organized by the NSS unit saw active participation from 35 volunteers spreading awareness among the public.

The Research and Development cell at MRKIT promotes innovation and research among faculty and students. The cell organizes workshops on Intellectual Property Rights, research methodology, and guides students in publishing papers in reputed journals. Faculty members are actively involved in funded research projects. The institution also has MoUs with various industries and research organizations to foster collaborative research.
